Chilled soft drinks and confectionary are available in the Dinosaur Isle shop. A green picnic area is situated in front of the museum, with bench and large 'ammonite' seating. The picnic area overlooks a shallow lake which, in the spring and summer, is host to many breeding pairs of ducks, coots, moorhens and a resident pair of Mute swans.
Browns Cafe and mini Golf Course is sited next door to Dinosaur Isle. The old Yaverland Kiosk has undergone a complete rebuild. It is sited 5 minutes walk away on Yaverland Road at the entrance to Yaverland carpark, near the Zoo. The cafe is a convenient stop after one of our guided fossil walks at Yaverland. It is open from 9am to 5pm seven days a week from March to November. The kiosk serves hot and cold food, with tables indoors and out.
